Things To See And Do In Colorado

Before we talk about buying houses, condos or even mobile homes in Colorado, let’s take a moment to look at what people there can do for fun. Every town has its own nightlife to be sure, but Colorado really shines when you look at its access to the glories of nature.

The Denver Botanic Gardens are well worth a visit, for example. The Garden of the Gods city park in Colorado Springs lives up to its name, and the Rocky Mountain National Park is exactly how it sounds. Main Street in Breckenridge is incredibly picturesque, and the Riverwalk in Estes Park is worth a day all to itself.

A Brief History Of Colorado

Before you buy land in the state of Colorado, it might be good to learn a little about its past. The region has been inhabited by humans for at least 13,000 years. Colorado became part of the Spanish Empire in the 16th and 17th centuries, and became part of Mexico when it rebelled. When the Mexican-American War was finished, in 1848, the land belonged to the US.

Colorado’s first colonists, though, came only in 1851 when a group of Mexican Americans settled the village of San Luis. By 1854, the region that would become Colorado was the Indian Territory, and it only became The Free Territory of Colorado in 1861, and it became a state in 1876

Is Colorado Right for You?

Is Colorado Right for You?

Is Colorado Right for You?

No single place is right for everybody, but Colorado real estate certainly offers wide-ranging appeal. Whether you want a towering condo in an already-sky-high city like Denver, a relaxed, suburban existence in a place like Aurora Heights, or a modern-day ranch on the outskirts of Colorado Springs, you can find it in Colorado.

Perhaps you should take the time to visit Colorado. Come and see whether you can handle the altitude of Denver (the air actually is a little thin), whether the sight of the Rockies is as majestic as they say, and exactly how far your house-dollar goes in a state that is growing so incredibly quickly

Here are a few of the best reasons to buy Colorado real estate right now

Colorado has so much access to majestic nature! Colorado has more than scenic views, though. It has a huge amount of developed and semi-developed recreational areas that you can use all year round, from ski slopes and hiking trails to horse riding, kayaking and fishing.

All that recreation makes Coloradans healthier. Colorado is one of the healthiest of the 50 states, according to both Mind Body Green and Americashealthratings.org.

The craft beer is excellent as well. Colorado has more than 400 established breweries, and more seem to pop up every year. This leads to some very good craft beer festivals, like the Great American Beer Festival and the Colorado brewer’s Festival.

The Colorado economy is strong. The state has a major presence of industries like tourism, agriculture, biotech, aerospace and even software development. WalletHub recently ranked Colorado as the number 5 strongest economy out of the 50 states. It came in 3rd for ‘healthiest economy’, and 8th for ‘innovation potential’ as well.
