Have you thought about Provo, Utah for a Mobile Home?

Provo is the third largest city in Utah and is very much a center for technology development in the state. The city has been responsible for several, successful billion-dollar start-ups.

Provo has gained notoriety for its Forbes Magazine awards over the years, one being "Best Small and Medium-Size Cities for Jobs” and number two as “Best Place for Business and Careers.” In the recent past it has held first place for health and well-being and best city for community optimism. It has been referred to as “The Garden City” because of its numerous fruit orchards and gardens.

History of Provo

History of Provo

utah history

The Provo area was initially occupied by the Northern Ute tribe the Timpanogos, originally calling it Timpanogos. It was also where the Shoshone and Ute tribes met to celebrate their creator. In 1776, the first European, a Spanish Franciscan missionary-explorer, Father Silvestre Vélez de Escalante, arrived. Europeans, although they initially didn’t settle, started to trade with the Timpanogos. The Mormon pioneers arrived in the Salt Lake Valley in 1847, and while Natives were originally very friendly, the Shoshone and Utes clashed with the Mormons over cattle and land. Because of this, the Battle Creek massacre took place on 5th March 1849, when the outgunned and outnumbered Timpanogos were attacked by surprise just before dawn. Fort Utah was established in 1849, when 33 Mormon families from Salt Lake City arrived. In 1850, an army from Salt Lake drove the remaining Timpanogos out, and a couple of wars ensued. Fort Utah was renamed Provo, and the first school house was built. With more Mormons arriving, Provo quickly became a city. The railroad arrived in 1872, coinciding with the construction of Provo Woolen Mills, initially staffed by qualified immigrants from Great Britain.
