Each dragon boat contains 20 paddlers, a steerer, and a drummer. The Club practices throughout the summer months and participates in the annual Chattanooga Dragon Boat Festival along with gatherings in Georgia and Alabama.

Chattanooga’s mid-South location provides it with a generally mild climate. Winters are generally short but can be cold and wet. Most years, the region doesn’t see more than about 3 inches of snow accumulation. On average, Chattanooga sees 55 inches of rain every year.
