Family day out destinations include the Crayola Experience, and the Chandler Solar System Walk at Veterans Oasis Park. While you’re there, consider catching one of the Sonoran Sunset concert series which run from October to March.

Other worthwhile experiences include the Eddie basha Collection, one of the world’s largest collections of American Indian and American Western art and the San Marcos Golf Course, which was the first grassed golf course in the state when it opened more than 100 years ago. Cooper Commons The neighborhood of Copper Commons is a great place to buy a condo in Chandler, AZ. It is a mere hour’s drive from downtown Phoenix, and offers spectacular views of the San Tan Valley Mountains. It is located right next to Downtown Chandler, with all the shops, nightlife and dining you’d expect. The neighborhood was heavily redeveloped at the turn of the century, so many of the condos and single-family homes in the area are relatively new. Median home prices in Cooper Commons is around $375,000, and median household income is around $88,555. The Provinces The Provinces is one of the first master-planned communities in Chandler, and it is extremely walker- and jogger-friendly. No wonder AZ land for sale in the Provinces sells so quickly. It is one of the largest neighborhoods in the city, and boasts amenities like the Dignity Health emergency center, a Safeway and a Fry’s. Better still, it is only 5 minutes from Downtown by car. Just under 6,000 people live in the Provinces.

Chandler, AZ’s population as of the 2020 census was 275,987, up from just over 236,000 in 2010. Like most of Maricopa County, it is growing by leaps and bounds. Unlike most of Maricopa County, Chandler City is bounded on all sides, and has to grow up instead of out. That means there are condos for sale for those looking at buying land in Chandler.

The town was famous for its ostrich farms in the 1910s, and its annual Ostrich Festival is still a major tourist draw.

The Chandler Center for the Performing Arts boasts a 1,500 seat performance venue right in the middle of downtown Chandler, and the non-profit Vision Gallery provides exposure for more than 300 local artists.
