Cars are an excellent medium of transportation in Garden Acres Area. It is especially convenient to park, and most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Freeway. Walking is not very practical for property owners in this part of the city because meeting day-to-day needs is inconvenient on foot. Traveling by bicycle is also challenging in Garden Acres Area because there are a good number of hills, and there are very few bike lanes.
There are only a limited number of primary schools in Garden Acres Area and thus they can be a rather long walk away. In addition, this neighborhood does not contain any high schools. As far as food is concerned, it is rarely practical for property owners in Garden Acres Area to access the nearest supermarket by walking. There are also a few opportunities for those who appreciate close by restaurants.
Garden Acres Area is good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are reasonably calm - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially closer to Interstate 35, South Freeway or the airport (Fort Worth Spinks Airport). Parks are distributed sporadically, making them rather challenging to reach from most locations in this neighborhood. Still, residents will be able to access green spaces in nearby neighborhoods.
Most homes in Garden Acres Area were built following the year 2000, during its biggest building boom. The predominant housing types in this area are single detached homes and townhouses. Homeowners occupy around 70% of the units in Garden Acres Area and renters occupy the remainder. This neighborhood offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
