Where should I look for a mobile home in Henderson, Nevada?

The best thing about Henderson is the ‘small town’ standard of living it provides, while also allowing easy commutes into the Vegas Strip. Henderson has a population of nearly 1/3 of a million people, but it doesn’t feel like that when you’re there. It offers plenty of idyllic suburban neighborhoods, a few flashy urban zones (though nowhere near as flashy as Las Vegas, one must admit), and plenty of the finer things in life. It presents a much more wholesome atmosphere in which to raise a family, as well. No wonder Henderson mobile homes for sale are drawing so much attention.

Today we’ll look at some of the best places for buying a mobile home in Henderson. We’ll compare the relative costs and benefits of some of the city’s most popular neighborhoods, and try to give you all the other information you would need to imagine living there. We’ll talk about Henderson’s geography, climate and demographics in turn. We’ll even identify some of the best days out the city has to offer for couples, singles and families.

History of Henderson

History of Henderson

 nevada history

Henderson’s story begins in the lead-up to America’s entry into WWII. The Basic magnesium Plant was built in the then sparsely populated Las Vegas Valley, and soon became the largest magnesium producer in the US. The material was in demand at wartime, for incendiary munitions, aerospace parts and as a strengthening agent in aluminum alloys. At one point, fully ¼ of Hoover dam’s hydroelectric output was used to refine the metal from its ore by electrolysis. By 1947, though, there was a dramatically lower demand for the ‘miracle metal’ that made Henderson’s fortunes. The plant closed, and the workers moved away. Fully half the city lay empty, and Nevada Legislature moved to incorporate the settlement as the City of Henderson in 1953. The population was only 7,410 at that time. It rebounded dramatically in the next few decades.
