Crestwood was developed during three periods in the 20 th century, discernible in the architectural styles found throughout the neighborhood. The northern section consists of rowhouses that were built by real estate speculators around World War I, sometimes referred to as ''Wardman style,'' although the prolific developer Harry Wardman never worked in Crestwood.
